Foripower’s 600kW DC-DC and 300kW DC+PCS Solutions Deployed in Zhangbei Phase II 5MW Flow Battery Energy Storage Project

Recently, Foripowersupplied ten units of 600kW DC-DC converters and 300kW integrated DC+PCSsystems for the Zhangbei Phase II 5MW flow battery energy storage project, partof China’s National Wind-Solar-Storage-Transmission Demonstration Base.Theproject, with a total capacity of 5MW/20MWh (4-hour duration), utilizes avanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) system and represents a key milestone in thelarge-scale application of long-duration energy storage technologies.

As one of the firstmegawatt-scale commercial deployments of VRFB technology in China, the projecthas been selected as part of the National Energy Administration’s inauguralenergy storage technology innovation pilot program. It provides critical validationof long-duration energy storage integration within renewable energy bases,while generating valuable operational data and engineering experience forfuture utility-scale deployments at the hundred-megawatt level.

Foripower’sparticipation in this project demonstrates the technical maturity, reliability,and scalability of its flow battery PCS solutions. It further reinforces thecompany’s competitive position in the energy storage power conversion marketand supports its continued expansion into large-scale energy storageapplications.
